Our clients mean the world to us! We have always felt so lucky to have the opportunity to have a small part in our clients’ lives in order to capture all these special moments but what is also important to us is the capability to “get to know” them too. Throughout the years, we have watched families grow and change. We love to sit down with them and just “chit-chat” about what their kids are up to at that moment and share funny stories with each other about what the kids do. Since Alex and I started our family, we now can truly relate and share our funny stories too. We really do consider our clients part of the “Phil Hyman Family” and we want to tell each of you “thank you and that we appreciate you”.

We have been photographing Kristen since she was a year old! Mom graciously booked an appointment when we were asking for models. We wanted to showcase little girls in “Strasburg Children” dresses plus we had a few new backgrounds that we wanted to show off and try out. Kristen was so sweet during the session. I can’t believe that she is four years old already. Time sure does fly!!!

Family at the Beach!

We have had such a fun summer photographing families at the beach this year! I can’t believe that school has started already for most the kids and summer is coming to an end. The beach is just the perfect spot to capture the entire family because of how relaxed the surroundings are. It also makes for great memories! We have been photographing for this family ever since the oldest son was just a baby. Wow, look at how much the family has changed in just a few, short years! They have such a beautiful family and I know they are enjoying their portrait in their home.

Our New Neighbor!

We are so excited about our neighbors across the street from the studio! It’s Cupcake Couture! They have some of the best “yummy treats” in town and since they opened their doors it has been very tempting (especially since I’m pregnant) to go over everyday for a special treat. Not only can you get sweet treats, they are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Check out their website at www.ilovecupcakecouture.com for their menus. Everything sounds so good! We also have in the works (and will be offering to our clients in a few weeks) a special treat from Cupcake Couture for every child that comes in the studio to be photographed. What better way to treat a child than a yummy, sweet cupcake!

First Beach Trip!

We had a session scheduled at the beach for Thursday so we packed the family up and headed down to Folley Beach (Charleston area) and met Phil just in time for the session. The session went great! We had photographed the same family about 10 years ago and now both their kids are married and have children of their own.

On Friday morning, we took our 2 year old down to the beach since he has never been! Couldn’t wait to see what his reaction was going to be! He love the sand (built a sandcastle) and the birds (he chased them all over the beach). He wasn’t too sure about the waves crashing in but finally got used to it. He really had a fun time!

It was such a fun, family weekend! We really take advantage of every moment we have to spend with our family b/c it means so much to us! We are so blessed!

Brothers are so much fun! We had a blast with the two boys. You would never guess that one is older than the other just by their looks. They are almost exactly the same in height but so very different in personality. We had photographed them with their family at the beach but this time our studio was calling for “models” b/c we had a couple of new backgrounds that we wanted to use so mom took advantage of that offer. It really was such a fun session!

We are thrilled to announce that we will be having a baby girl! We can’t wait to welcome this new bundle of joy into the world. We kept asking Phillip whether he wanted to have a baby brother or baby sister and he always said sister so at least he was saying the correct word.

Also, we are so excited about our brand new blog! Alex has been working so hard to improve the look and feel of our blog and I know you will enjoy it. The look is simple yet fun and casual. Let us know what you think of it!
